Carol contributes over 15 years of professional experience in a range of landscape architecture projects. Positions in offices in both Boston and Oregon have provided her with extensive experience in design, technical skills and project management. Carol has acted as project manager for master planning projects, commercial developments, and residential gardens. She has also worked extensively on commercial development projects throughout the Willamette Valley, Washington, the Oregon Coast and eastern Oregon.

Outside of work, Carol enjoys collecting motorcycles. With a day of good weather, she is sure to be found on the road. If she's not on a motorcycle, then she'll be found enjoying the scenery around Eugene on a road bicycle. The independent theatre is also a favorite hangout on rainy Fridays after work.

Michael has ten years of professional experience in landscape architecture, including licensure in California, with a combined total of over 15 years of related experience in landscape architecture, art, graphic design and the nursery trade. Some of his work experience includes working for Peter Walker and Partners in Berkeley, California and Van Atta Associates in Santa Barbara, California. Work at these firms provided him experience in design, project management, construction document preparation and construction administration of varied projects that included hospitality and resort design, university and campus planning, business campus/park planning, park and open space design, estate residential and multi-family housing developments.

Michael's design inspiration comes from his love of modern art and architecture. He especially enjoys spending time on his own art which includes plein aire watercolor painting and black and white photography. Michael's joy for life springs from his growing family and his anticipation of exploring the beautiful countryside of Oregon with his wife Kathryn and boys Ethan and Nate.

Annie received both an environmental design and a landscape architecture degree from North Dakota State University in 2004. She then was integrated into the profession as an intern for Peaks to Plains Design in Billings, MT, filling many diverse roles. Annie also worked for a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, SRF Consulting Group, Inc. in Minneapolis. At Schirmer + Associates, she gets her hands around a variety of projects, ranging from high-end residential, commercial development, aspects of land use planning and everything in between. As a part of this intimate team, the roles change daily and the work stays interesting.

Annie's upbringing in rural North Dakota has given her an appreciation of nature, the sensitivity of the land, and how thought and care can make simple places memorable. She is blessed to have had art incorporated into her life from a very young age, lending her a true love for design, visual arts, and the continual drive to bring that together with architecture using the amazing earth as the canvas. Besides that, she is a huge proponent of getting away from the desk for some fresh air!

Jeff has over 14 years of professional experience in landscape architecture and comes from a background of working for a high-end design-build firm in Cincinnati. Working as a designer and project manager there allowed him the benefit to see his creations being built on a near daily basis, while communicating daily with both clients and contractors gained him valuable insight into the workings of the profession. Project work there included both residential and commercial projects with a niche in specialty event garden design and construction.

Outside of work Jeff can usually be found doing something that involves a bicycle whether racing or just simply riding. When not convincing co-workers to ride an inordinate amount of miles with him he can usually be found enjoying the scenery of the mountains, the ocean and all the wonderment that is found in Oregon.

Maggie’s is the new voice you’ll hear when you call our office.  Maggie has been lending her administrative and organizational skills to businesses in Eugene and the Bay Area since 1989.  She received her B.A. in Theater Arts and English from U.C. Davis in 1993 and has been hunting down typos and grammatical errors since grade school.

When she’s not busy crunching numbers or organizing something around the office, Maggie can be found teaching and directing at local theaters, running, dancing, doing yoga, or hanging out with her two fantastic children.
